About GLHS

Gordon Lee High School, located in Chickamauga, serves as the high school for the Chickamauga City Schools District and reflects the values of a close-knit Northwest Georgia community. The school is committed to fostering a rigorous academic environment while supporting the diverse interests and goals of its students.

At the core of Gordon Lee High School is a strong emphasis on academic excellence, with a curriculum designed to challenge students and prepare them for post-secondary education, career pathways, and the evolving demands of the modern workforce. Students have access to a variety of academic programs, including honors coursework in core subjects, as well as opportunities in Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education (CTAE) pathways and dual enrollment. The range of CTAE programs provides hands-on experiences that connect classroom learning to future careers, helping students build a strong foundation for entering the workforce with confidence and competence. Dual enrollment opportunities allow students planning to attend postsecondary institutions to earn college credit prior to graduation, giving them a head start on their academic and career goals.

Gordon Lee High School also values the importance of extracurricular involvement, leadership development, and character education. Through athletics, clubs, and service opportunities, students develop teamwork, communication, and time-management skills that are essential not only for academic success but also for professional environments.

With a long-standing tradition of excellence, Gordon Lee High School strives to develop students who are not only academically prepared but also career-ready—equipped with the knowledge, skills, and work ethic necessary to succeed in higher education and thrive in an increasingly competitive and dynamic workforce.
