Health Occupation Students of American (HOSA)-Future Healthcare Professionals
HOSA, Future Healthcare Professionals, is a student-led professional organization designed for students interested in the healthcare field. They offer many opportunities for scholarships, leadership, competition, and service. We attend two conferences per year, one being in Atlanta, Ga. The State Leadership Conference is held in March, and students compete in a competitive event of their choice that relates to healthcare. Our HOSA chapter focuses on community service projects, raising awareness for various healthcare related issues/diseases, and fundraising for various foundations/causes. We host 2-3 blood drives per year for our community. To be a member of HOSA, the student should be very interested in healthcare as a career choice and be willing to volunteer and be involved in HOSA related activities. To be a member, dues are $40 per year. We affiliate at the state and national levels. Gordon Lee HOSA prides itself on being professional in all aspects: classroom, trips, competing, service, and character. We will have regular monthly meetings to make sure our members know what is being planned and can actively participate. We love our members and our chapter looks forward to serving you! Come be a part of something extraordinary at GLHS!
